Information for Commuter Students
Whether you are living at home or in off-campus housing, you’re a college commuter. Commuter students can face unique challenges; from having to carry the entire day on your back to engaging in the campus community and feeling like you “fit in”.
As of Fall 2023, 12% of entering students at Thomas College are commuter students. We are committed to ensuring that your education experience is just as robust and rewarding as for those who live on-campus. We hope that the information and resources we have put together for you are helpful.

Commuters should use the commuter parking lots at the north end of the Administration Building (North Parking Lot), or the 4 general parking areas just north of the Bernatchez & 史密斯字段.
研究空间
While you’re on campus, you have the option to spend time and study in a range of spaces. If you prefer a quieter space or need print resources, the 图书馆 may serve you well.
If you’d prefer to be nearer to caffeine or snacks, hunker down near Jeanie’s Cafe or the 狗磅. 在 健康中心 hours, your key card will also grant you access to the common spaces in the Grant, Parks, Heath (GPH) residence hall so you can enjoy a “homier” environment to hang out in between classes.

Commuter student meal plans make dining on campus convenient and more affordable. Block Meal Plans (25 and 50) are available so you can still enjoy the Dining Center, 狗磅, and Jeanie’s Cafe with your friends.
Contact Student Financial 服务 at 207-859-1105 to select and purchase a meal plan. Meal plans for commuter students can also be purchased online.
俱乐部 & 组织
The social aspect of campus life is part of your personal growth—and a variety of clubs and organizations exist for you to enjoy as a commuter. There are many opportunities for co-curricular learning, 领导, and fun diversions from your studies so you can meet people, discover new interests, and learn what truly matters to you. Some of these events take place on evenings and weekends, but that doesn’t mean you can’t participate!
